It’s officially spring and I can’t wait for Easter!
We really don’t have room for any large decorations and I didn’t want to go to the store so I came up with these cute fabric Easter eggs with what I had on hand
Nothing fancy, but I love them anyway
Simple and Cheery
Ready to make your own?
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Plastic Easter eggs
- Fabric Scraps
- Mod Podge
1. Cut your fabric into lots of little strips- mine were about 1/2″ wide and in varying lengths
2. Apply mod podge to the back (not the front just yet) of each strip and layer them on your egg. Try not to use too much mod podge or it turns into a big mess. It will work best if you do a few strips on each egg, let them dry and then add a few more. If you’re doing a bunch things will set pretty well while you’re working on the other eggs
3. Get each egg fully covered
4. And then add a coat of mod podge on top
I didn’t have anything cute to display them in so I just put a glass jar on top of a baby food jar (yup I’ve saved those for over a year…) and tied a ribbon around it.
