Logo Plaque Tutorial

Today I’m sharing the final component of my office/sewing studio! A DIY logo sign. Of course this tutorial would work for making any wooden plaque :)

My sign hangs in my office over my “work station” and it helps tie everything into the office together

Here’s how I made mine:

1. Paint your board/plaque with your base color

2. Next I worked in layers to add the varying components. I blocked off the outside first and then added my white center:IMG_9107

3. Then I covered the white and adding the teal trim. Next up was the lettering. I used my Cricut to cut everything out which was super helpful. I started out using contact paper and it leaked quite a bit so I did vinyl for my lettering stencil and that worked much better

4. All painted and drying…That is the hardest part isn’t it?

and that’s it! When you’re finished you might need to touch up a few spots but it works pretty well. Alternatively you could just do vinyl lettering but I love the look of the painted letters
